On Behalf Of Dyfred Powys Criminal Justice Board I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for speaking at our Conference. the feedback we have received has been very positive and everyone expressed how much they enjoyed your speech, finding it both informative and powerful, leaving us all with much to think about.

There is a lot to do and I am sure that the discussions and outcomes from the event will be the catalyst to inspire people to carry forward the work of the Board over the next year and beyond.

Maxie Hayles is a man of courage and principle who has tirelessly campaigned for what is just. He posses a moral compass that is an inspiration to those who know him, and an expertise in the fields of race an equalities that marks him out as a national figure as well as one that is known in the West Midlands. It goes without saying that Maxie is a straight talking, but his insight, vision and Maxie has led BRAMU with distinction and energy for many years, and has never lost sight of his purpose and need. There are few people I know who are as consistent, and as consistently right, as Maxie. His work on racial harassment and diversity is widely recognised, and perhaps deserves an even higher profile. And his dedication to explaining issues and arguments, and carrying people with him, is admirable. This solution orientated thinking, and general positive outlook, inspires those he comes into contact with.
